The Historic Cave Springs Resort Cabins

The Cave Springs Resort Cabins were built in 1923, and continue to offer a vacation experience unique in today's world.  Although the beds have been modernized, these very rustic cabins offer all the state-of-the-art amenities of 1923, including:  private bath with shower (two cabins have original claw foot tubs), a kitchen with two burner stove (in the one bedroom cabins), kitchen with stove and oven (in the two-bedroom cabins);  you'll find a vintage refrigerator in the kitchen or back porch; read a novel on your front porch, and don't worry about the telephone or TV disturbing the tranquility, because there are none!  Open the back window and listen to the Sacramento River dance over rocks and splash into pools.

Prepare to relax.  These historic cabins have all of the amenities of 1923 - with wireless high-speed internet...  No telephones to interrupt your vacation (though your cell-phone will show 5 bars of signal), simply relax to the sound of the river and the charm of Dunsmuir's railroad and fishing history. With access to the Cave Springs swimming pool, jacuzzi, laundry facility, city park, playground and all that Siskiyou county, Dunsmuir, and the Mount Shasta region has to offer.

These 16 historic resort cabins literally back up to the upper Sacramento river's blue-ribbon flyfishing.  A short trail to the namesake cave leads you to one of the best pieces of flyfishing water in the lower 48 - with the legendary upper Sacramento river rainbow trout.
